Hello listeners,

it’s Dre & Jas here! If you’ve been rocking with us since our debut early this year, you know each week our show has brought you the latest and greatest in #GirlGroupGoodness. Keeping with our mission to #BringBackGirlGroups, over the next few weeks we’ll be spotlighting some of our fave new girl groups on the scene with our ‘Girls On The Rise’ picks right here on SCADAtlantaRadio.org.

The groups we’ll be covering run the gamut from signed to unsigned. Some of the groups we’ve even had the pleasure of bringing into the studio or seeing live, but most we just can’t seem to take off our playlists. Follow us on Instagram: @noooboysaloud and like us on Facebook, as we’ll be extending the highlights from the #GirlsOnTheRise series there…

xso(L to R: Paige, Mia & Jaz)

It’s seems the epicenter of the girl group reawakening is Atlanta, and first up on our list is XSO. Backed by Upfront Management & Devynne Stephens who’s played a huge part in Akon and TLC’s careers, it’s safe to say Jaz, Paige and Mia are in good hands. The group’s singers, Paige and Mia have a vocal tetter totter very reminiscent of a young T-Boz and Chili, while Jaz serves as the rapper of the group. Paige’s raspy coos and Mia’s sweet delivery are backed by Jaz’s super-charged bars on the groups’ bangers. Tooting themselves as the female version of Bell Biv Devoe, XSO’s possess all the sass and swag we’ve missed from girl groups. Having already opened for R&B superstar Monica, during her Code Red Experience tour, XSO seem to be well on their way to leaving their kisses on music’s collar.
