“West Coast is the Best Coast” Band Interview Blog with DJ Lisa
On Christmas Day, I was lucky enough to interview the singer of one of my favorite Southern California bands of all time, Victor Monroy from the band Pastilla. I was super excited when Mr. Monroy agreed to a special interview with me. Since the band had just gotten back into town from touring in Mexico there was no LA shows scheduled. So we met up at his lovely home in Glendale California. We had a great conversation about the band’s recent tour, their new record, what’s coming up for 2015, and much much more! Also, I gotta mention that I started playing Pastilla’s music on SCAD Atlanta Radio a couple of years ago on my old show “Spanglish Mixtape”. Pastilla are indie music vets stemming from the mid 1990’s. So it was an honor to be able to finally conduct an interview with the singer from the band I always said was “Indie, before Indie was Indie” haha. This interview was a kind of dream come true hehe.
