Justin Pierre Interview
As I try and think of the words to write for this blog post, I’m overwhelmed with the thought “omg I can’t believe I’m about to write a post about interviewing one of my favorite singer/songwriters of all time.” That person being Justin Pierre from the band Motion City Soundtrack. It’s been about a week since Mr. Pierre went out of his way to visit us at SCAD Atlanta Radio. Since then I’ve gone through a crazy week of midterms, finishing two major projects, and an eye infection. So I guess I haven’t really had the time to let it sink in yet, until today… I still don’t know what I really want to say, but I’ll start off by saying that Justin Pierre IS REALLY the nicest. (I’m not just saying that because he’s one of my favorites). He took the very little time he had in his busy schedule last Tuesday to come to the station because I didn’t have the time to go to the venue to conduct the interview. MCS made their stop in Atlanta to play a show as they are currently on tour celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their album “Commit This To Memory.” I had less than 24 hours notice that I would be interviewing Mr. Pierre. It all happened very quickly, so I was really worried about preparing some decent questions. Lucky for me, Justin is GREAT at conversing, so he made the interview sound great! haha. Being a big fan, I had met Justin quite a few times in the past at shows. Though this time, I was going to meet and talk to him on a more “professional” occasion. So, I was a bit nervous, but I still had a lot of fun… I never thought I would be interviewing Justin Pierre, so thank you very much for that Justin. Also, I have to thank Doug Lefrak at Feisty Management, Matt Wilson at Lex Booking, and Brandon Spulick and Jessica Clary at SCAD Atlanta Radio for making this interview possible. Well, I hope y’all enjoy the interview as much as I do, hehe.
I’m so sorry I missed the rest of you, Josh, Jesse, Matt, and Claudio. Though I look forward to another opportunity in the future!
