year-of-the-cat

Thanks for listening in to “Easy Like Sunday Morning” this past week. The show will shortly be coming to an end along with the end of the summer quarter here at SCAD Atlanta. This episode we continued along with the standard fare of soft rock and easy listening. I added in a brief set of my favorite singer-songwriter-piano player artists that include a lot of character work and storytelling in their songs about heartache and tainted relationships. So thank you to Mssrs. Waits, Zevon, and Newman for that. Dipping more into some of the 80s artists near the end and included Genesis and Mike + The Mechanics in this one (Would a future show called “Patrick Bateman’s Walkman” be a thing people would be into?). Closed it out with Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” because if it’s good enough for the 1988 Bette Midler / Lily Tomlin twin mix-em-up comedy vehicle Big Business, then it’s good enough for this show. Below is the full playlist and be sure to tune to the next show Monday night from 6-8 p.m. EST!
