This episode we continued along with the standard fare of soft rock and easy listening. I added in a brief set of my favorite singer-songwriter-piano player artists that include a lot of character work and storytelling in their songs about heartache and tainted relationships. Dipping more into some of the 80s artists near the end and included Genesis and Mike + The Mechanics in this one (Would a future show called “Patrick Bateman’s Walkman” be a thing people would be into?). Closed it out with Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” because if it’s good enough for the 1988 Bette Midler / Lily Tomlin twin mix-em-up comedy vehicle Big Business, then it’s good enough for this show.
