Hello everyone! Thanks for checking out the very first episode of “Easy Like Sunday Morning”; a brand new summer show on SCAD Atlanta Radio. Last year I started a show that took a look at the year by year progression of rock ‘n’ roll music through the decade of the 1970s. It focused a lot more on the basic, meat and potatoes guitar and drum kit rock bands and eventually branched off into more interesting areas of the genre as they were being developed (e.g. punk, proto-metal, progressive rock). This meant that we passed over the lighter side of many of these artists. That’s where “Easy Like Sunday Morning” steps in. This summer the 1970s (and even a bit of the early 80s) are a bit more relaxed. Listening to the show should give you the chance for an early unwind after stepping back into the work week.
