It’s nice to be back after a week of hiatus. Thankfully my babysitting stint has ended and I am freed from the shackles of a 10 year old. Tonight’s show was all about showcasing the bitchin’ rad sounds of the 1980’s. From your electro pop with keytars, to some hard rock and roll, the ladies weren’t afraid of holding back at all. The ’80s weren’t just great because yours truly was born then, but because for some reason it’s the one decade that everyone decided to experiment with music and fashion and dancing in a way that people still refuse to call “stylish” even though other decade’s have come back into style. It’s as if those 10 years were just a big “oops” that people would rather ignore and forget. Never forget those Ray Bans, shoulder pads, and lasers.
