Hello listeners. The feature for today’s House of Wax was a showcase of some the hardest working bass players in the business. That is, if the business was about 40 years ago and only dealt with rock musicians. Well, I’m just a sucker for a strong and structured bass line I suppose.

I decided to line up a bunch of the biggest names in bass rock back to back to see who could out thump out. Again, I dealt mainly with 70s era classic rock so no need to shout out loud about the glaring omissions of people like James Jamerson, Peter Hook, Larry Graham, Les Claypool, etc etc. All amazing talents but it’s another show for another time maybe. The rest of today’s show had a bit of a heavier tone all around. I’m sure next week, being the last show of Winter Quarter will have a little bit more brightness in it. Until then!
