Well, better late than never I suppose. It’s the playlist for the latest episode of House of Wax and that being the first of the Spring quarter. I’m back to the all vinyl rotation of songs but this time around I’m trying to mix things up. I like blending the old and the new (well the relatively new) so maybe you hear a Kinks song next to Depeche Mode or something like that. As long as the overall mood is cohesive, it seems like these songs play off each other quite well. And it seems like a lot of new music (at least the kind I’ve been listening to) is either influenced by that new wave synth sounds the 80’s or folk-pop-psych rock of the 60’s. If you liked the show or just like what you see in the playlist below, tune in for more this Thursday from 2-4pm.
