Hello record lovers! This week’s playlist brought out a few of the sentimental doo wop tracks by the likes of The Five Satins and The Mello-Kings. Not to mention a great cut from the pictured album from Jackie Wilson. Gotta keep this guy in mind the next time I’m rummaging through the record stores. There’s just something about the way Jackie rolls his ‘R’s. The rest of the playlist played out as usual and included a new favorite song as well. A 7″ single of “It’s Cold Outside” by Cleveland band The Choir was sent to me just in time to get a spin on the turntable. It has all the makings of a garage rock classic with just the right amount of guitar jangle and an infallible chorus hook. No surprise that most of the members went on to form 70s power pop band The Raspberries. But enough trivia; on to the playlist:
