This past week was the second half of a classic classic rock edition of House of Wax. Now I really didn’t grow up during the time period of this music, but these songs and artists were definitely a part of my musical discovery in my younger days. These were the records and cassettes that my Dad had stacked and shelved underneath an old stereo system in a corner of our living room. I guess I grew to love them.  I didn’t have a CD player until I was in high school and I really didn’t have dispensable income to go out and buy new cassettes all the time so those records and mix tapes were what I listened to. Anyway, it was good to play some of that stuff.

Also! Had a little set just for the band Rush since they were being inducted into the rock and roll Hall of Fame this week. Rush’s appeal is pretty easily summed up. You either don’t like them at all, or you’re a die hard follower. Casual Rush fans are few and far between. They’ve never really had a universal appeal which is why any kind of validation like membership in the Hall of Fame is important to most fans. So again, kudos to them.
