Hey Pizza Pals! Well here it is, our final playlist for Midnight Pizza Party. Once again we want to express our thanks to all of you who tuned into the show. Whether it was for just one week or all nine, your interest in MPP has been enormously appreciated and we hope in turn that we’ve entertained and turned you on to some great rock ‘n’ roll music. Thanks to those of you who visited us at the station and who called in to talk pizza with us. Thank you to David Castillo, formerly of the band PIZZA TIME and now heading up Panaderia, for allowing us to have him as our first and last artist interview and for acknowledging the greatness of a solid pizza pun. Thank you to all the bands who made such great music to build this show upon ! Thanks to fellow DJ Travers Cooke (recipient of the Golden Pizza Cutter award in case you missed the last episode) for his help on our promotional videos and for curating the music for the after parties well into the early Friday mornings and of course his sculpt of our pizza mascot, Eddie. Finally, I want to personally thank Lisa “Pizza” Vasquez for agreeing to co-host this show with me and for keeping up the energy and enthusiasm of every week’s show. It would have been tough making it through to 2 a.m. on my lonesome. Though it would be tempting to keep this show format in play on SCAD Atlanta Radio, it just wouldn’t be Midnight Pizza Party without her.
BUT! But, but, but…
Just because the live show is over, it doesn’t mean our love for all things cheesy are going away for good. We’ll still be featuring and sharing bands and music that we like through the MPP facebook page. We’ll post pictures and videos and ask questions and keep things trucking along as usual. And hey, who knows; maybe some audio will pop up from time to time with parts from the show we liked or some sort of podcast format (maybe even a reunion show way down the line). As long as you are enjoying it, Lisa and I will keep the content coming. So be sure to be following us on Facebook and let Midnight Pizza Party live on.
