Everyone is starting to let the pressure of work and school to get to them. Therefore, a party is a very timely idea. Especially a costume party. This week the Fuzz Factory hosted the audio version of a costume party – the Cover Song Spectacular! The latest installment of this feature was this week. I have acquired quite a collection of them over the years and it has been 9 months since the last cover song special feature. Cover songs are so much fun to play and this feature always brings out a lot great listener requests. Therefore, I thought it was a great time for that costume party.
All week I’ve been posting about how cover songs are the audio version of the costume and a cover song show is like a costume party. Wouldn’t you agree? Where else would you run across the Eels covering Missy Elliott? Or Waylon Jennings covering Fleetwood Mac? Or LCD Soundsystem covering Harry Nilsson? Or a string quartet version of a Queens Of A Stone Age song? Nowhere but here – the Fuzz Factory! Saving rock & roll radio, one week at a time.
Here is the Cover Song Spectacular playlist. If you like what you hear – go tell somebody!
