Lately my life has been relentless. One hit after another. That makes the Fuzz Factory an even greater need to me. Weekly relief in the form of great rock & roll. However, this past week, that kind of schedule meant that I was going to have to wing it in the Factory a little more than usual. In fact, the Compare/Contrast feature last show was completely spontaneous. I knew a wanted a Compare/Contrast for the feature, I just didn’t decide it would be The Verve and Voyager One until halfway through the show. Most of you have heard of the Verve, from the United Kingdom. Most of you have not heard of Voyager One, from Seattle. Well, well, it turns out the spontaneity provided a nice surprise. Both bands have an anthemic quality to their shoegaze-like psychedelic rock and therefore sounded magnificent together. In fact, years ago, the Verve released a now obscure EP called Voyager One.
There will be NO FUZZ FACTORY next Thursday night. However, I will be back the following week, 5/15 with the latest installment of the Full On Fuzz Rock Special. Yeah, it’s time.
Tune into SCAD-Atlanta Radio (www.scadatlantaradio.org) Thursdays from 8-10 PM (EST) for the Fuzz Factory big rock & roll show.
