So yeah, this post is squeezed between work and sleep. Barely. Therefore – it’s gonna be short.
The end is near. The end of the school year. Everyone is super busy getting work finished in time for deadlines and the end of the quarter in general. I am grading projects on a daily basis. I think about how I have absolutely no free time and how next month I’ll almost have too much free time. It’s all a roller coaster ride.
On this Fuzz Factory, I decided the Compare/Contrast feature would be Gang Of Four and Rage Against The Machine. Two of the most politically motivated bands in rock & roll history. From completely different eras, these two bands had really only two things in common. First, both bands have poignant but abrasive lyrics that spoke truth to power while sometimes stirring up controversy. Second, both bands make extremely good use of the funky bass line.
Let’s turn to this week. Tune into the big rock show this Thursday night for the last Fuzz Factory of the school year. You know what that means. Yeah, next week is the latest installment of the Full On Fuzz Rock spectacular. Fat fuzzed out riffs from end to end. That sounds like a proper way to end the school year to me.
