Last week on the Fuzz Factory, the newly reunited Soundgarden was the special feature. I could go on and on about Soundgarden, but I won’t (at least not now). Let’s just say that Soundgarden is one of the best bands, ever. That’s all you need to know. They are easily one of the absolute best of all time. Cross your fingers that they book an Atlanta gig soon. It’ll probably be at a too big venue for a too big price. Normally not my style, but in this instance it’ll be OK because it’s Soundgarden and it’s been far too long.
On a side note, I conducted the first ever Fuzz Factory artist interview. Last Friday I interviewed Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals. It went pretty well, I managed to make the interview last 28 minutes. He has a very thick Welsh accent and was tough to understand. Check out this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usGdERPWoPU). Other than being a fantastic song it’s a very well made video. Pay attention to the instrument Gruff fiddles with throughout the video. Yeah, it’s Merlin, the hand-held LCD light game from the 80’s. I asked him about it in the interview. Unfortunately I really couldn’t understand his answer.
The grading machine is on full speed. So much to do between now and the end of next week. Therefore, it is time to go. Here at SCAD, we can now all see the light at the end of the tunnel. No, that light is not a train, it’s summer break on it’s way, and it’s right on time.
