The summer solstice has passed and now little by little they days are getting shorter. That’s the narrative lately around here on the Fuzz Factory. Last week, the special feature was summertime. Every song has summer in the title and speaks about this season of long hot days and warm breezy nights.
When compiling the playlist for this show, I discovered that quite a few songs talk about the fleeting nature of summer and the need to make something happen during the season. I believe this is the special ingredient that gives us so many songs about this season. In fact, if I were to write a song at this very moment, that’s what I would write about. Because that’s how I feel right now. I’m teaching only one class this summer and I plan to be in the studio as much as possible. Therefore, I’m expecting to have a bunch of new artwork completed by the end of summer.
This weeks show brought out the requests. My listeners are on the ball, in fact a few requests were for songs that were already scheduled to be played.
