Well, once again I was gone and now I am back. That’s how it goes in the summer months. Two weeks ago, no Fuzz Factory due to the Independence Day holiday. The week after that, no Fuzz Factory due to my road trip from Atlanta to Chicago. The picture posted above shows my arrival in the City of Big Shoulders.
Chicago is my home and it was good to see my family and a few friends. The road trip was made for my Mom’s surprise 70th birthday. In addition, my Mom is a regular listener here in the Fuzz Factory thereby making her one of the coolest rock & roll Moms around. Regardless, it’s good to be back here in Atlanta bringing my rock & roll radio program to you.
The road trip also provided the inspiration for the big Fuzz Factory show last week, Road Trip Rock & Roll! That’s right, I featured good road trip music, specifically three hours of rock & roll from my recent road trip mentioned above.
In order to highlight various categories of road trippin’ rock, I decided to break the show into three segments.
Hour One: made medium rare. Heavy grooves and fast-tempo songs for speed out of the gate, hitting the open road.
Hour Two: made medium well. Mellow grooves and mid-tempo songs for settling into the long haul.
Hour Three: made well done. Old, old favorite rock songs for bringing it on home.
Once again, this show was heard by listeners in Atlanta and locations far and away. Indiana, Illinois, Missouri in the United States and Turkey on the other side of the world.
