Welcome to the Funk Factory! Actually, welcome to the Fuzz Factory Old School Funk & Soul special feature!
This week the regular hard rock vibe of the Fuzz Factory was replaced by the countless grooves of old school funk and soul. I’m talking about the funk and soul sounds generated during the late 60’s and early 70’s. This highly influential music is all kinds of awesome. Rock bands listened and were influenced by the high energy funk rhythms. Hip-hop and rap artists sample this type of music all the time because of the irresistible grooves found all over this music.
I consider this music to be the best kind of pick me up music. Get stuff done music. Get it going music. At those times there’s nothing better to have in your stereo. Get, get up and get, get, get, get down!
I included a few classics in with the rarities. Three hours of funky goodness. Here’s the Old School Funk & Soul special feature playlist. Catch you on the flip side.
