Hello M’dear Listeners,

I suppose you’re here for the Recipe of the Week, and you’re in luck, it just so happens that I have it! This week it’s the special Valentines edition and we have the perfect recipe to make with your Valentine (or alone, with your dogs, best friend, parents, whoever!). We searched high and low, left a right, top to bottom for the perfect Valentines recipe to preview this week, and I’m pretty sure we hit the nail on the head. We even had our very good friend Kathleen Lynch come in and photograph our beautiful delicacies for us!

Life By Chocolate

Chocolate Cupcakes with a Raspberry Kiss center dipped in Chocolate Ganache in a heart shaped cupcake pan!

Please, refrain from drooling on your keyboards, people! We decided this recipe would be so great if my placed a Raspberry Hershey Kiss in the center, and it was good. Despite being chocolate, on top of chocolate, on top of chocolate, this was not overwhelmingly chocolate-y! It had a nice chewy outside, but in the inside was nice and cake-y and the ganache was, well, for lackĀ  of a better term, the icing on the cake! There was a nice little hit of raspberry from the Hershey Kiss, I could have used a little more, but that’s just my personal preference! What did Mike think about these nomz?

He agreed they they needed more raspberry, but by no means did he dislike them! We got many suggestions to better the cupcakes for next time. One suggestion was putting cherries in the cupcakes, another- less ganache, we also think it would be best to coat the Kisses in flour because they sank to the bottom of the cake. This one is so fun to make, and the there is lots of left over ganache, perfect for dipping strawberries, bananas, graham crackers, bacon…whatever you can think of! Enjoy the rest of your Valentines Day, try these out and give them to your loved ones! And Check back next week for more ROTW lovin’!

Break an egg,
