Old School Artist of the Day- Minnie Riperton
Minnie was a singer/songwriter that was widely known for her 51/2 octave vocal range. She displayed this ability most wonderfully in the 1975 hit “Loving You” She had two children (music engineer Marc Rudolph and actress/comedienne Maya Rudolph) With songwriter and music producer Richard Rudolph.
New School Artist of the Week- Yuna
Born in Malaysia this singer/songwriter she got signed to an American record label in 2011. Her music influences include Feist, The Cardigans, Coldplay, Sia and Bob Dylan. She actually calls music “a cross between Mary Poppins and Coldplay”. Check out her newest single “Live your Life” here.
