Straight Thru The Night is back (and with a vengeance)! That’s right; your favorite Atlanta based streaming internet radio show about synthwave music and retro pop culture has returned for another sweltering Southern summer. What’s so special about this summer you might ask? Well, it looks like this may very well be the FINAL run of STTN shows for DJs Travers & Matt, so we’re making every effort to be sure each episode is worth its weight in neon and chrome for all you listeners out there. Of course, we have the music which is a mix of synthwave, outrun, and synthpop collected from show staples like Tesla Boy and Futurecop! as well as emerging DIY synth artists. We have our regular nostalgia chats during talk breaks where we talk about 80s pop culture and how it impacts our present day world. We even have a few new features we’ll be rolling out with each episode; the very first of which is our freshly titled “Retch-Ro Cinema”. Each week we pick weird, wild and wonderful cult classic from the 1980s to discuss on the show. We strongly want to encourage audience participation which is why we announce the new film in advance so that you can watch along with us and send in your thoughts as well. Retch-Ro Cinema – Week 1
