It’s the year 1971 on Stuck In The 70s this week. Let’s take a look at what was happening in the music world then. The Monkees have disbanded! Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water wins a bunch of Grammy awards including album of the year. The historic Filmore West music venue shuts its doors with closing performances from Santana, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and The Grateful Dead. Jim Morrison, lead singer of The Doors, is found dead in a bath tub in Paris. Debut albums are released from Billy Joel, Kraftwerk, Bill Withers, Rory Gallagher and more.
