In this week’s episode of The Female Gaze we dive into the music of Carol Kaye, one of the most influential bass players in music history. As a session musician and part of “The Wrecking Crew,” Carol is estimated to have played in over 10,000 songs. Originally a jazz guitarist, Carol picked up the bass when a bass player didn’t show for a recording session.
