Week 1:
Disclaimer: The 10 songs picked are not necessarily the ONLY songs released in the last week and a half, but are an editor’s choice. There are many talented artists who have released a lot of good music; these are the most notable for me.
“Stranger” – WHIPPED CREAM (House/Bass House)
WHIPPED CREAM, the former competitive figure skater who decided to switch careers and started producing music, has regularly released music for the last few years and her largest body of work in 2025. Her newest song, “Stranger,” is her fresh take on the bass house music subset. Though it appears she has been on a roll the last few months with her debut album releasing late April.
“What U Done” – Teddy Killerz (DnB)
Teddy Killerz, while not the newest artists to the Drum and Bass subset, is definitely one of the most unique. The Russian-Ukrainian trio has been releasing music nearly every other week, which leads me to believe an album is likely in the works. “What U Done” is a bumping track that never slows down and keeps you hooked.
“Keep Your Hands Up” – Yellow Claw (Trap)
Yellow Claw is widely considered the kings of electronic trap music. If you think you’ve never heard one of their songs, just look up “DJ Turn It Up”, “Shotgun”, or “In My Room”. A new official release of their most recent songs is now compiled into an album, with an upcoming release set for less than a week. “Keep Your Hands Up” is a modern trap song that incorporates older samples into its sections.
“Rain” – FISHER (Tech House)
FISHER is best known in the club scene for his euphoric style of music. Look up “Stay” for another taste of his unique Tech House genre. His new song, “Rain,” appears to be his most melodic song.
“SHADOWS” – John Summit x LAVINIA (EDM)
John Summit is most known for his electronic dance music, with his debut album alongside artist HAYLA reaching top charts and being played at major festivals such as Coachella, ULTRA Miami, and Lollapalooza. “SHADOWS” seems to be incorporating more of a baseline like “Crystallized”. A new album, “–CTRL ESCAPE–” has been set for release in mid-April.
“5AM” – KI/KI (Acid Techno)
KI/KI is the current queen of Acid Techno. Hailing from underground festivals of Amsterdam, she’s quickly becoming the female face of rave music. Her new song “5AM” adds to her already impressive discography.
“What I Need” – Darby x Atura x Viiq (House)
Darby is quickly becoming more and more known in the electronic music industry in Australia, with music reaching as far as the United States. His unique style of electronic sampling and pop, especially in his song “What I Need”, marks him as a strong voice in the club and rave scene.
“Neck” – Mau P (UKG/Bass House/Tech House)
Mau P is one of the most well-known Dutch DJs and producers in the scene. He seamlessly blends sounds from UK Garage, Bass House, and Tech House while coming up with unique bass and vocal lines. “Neck” will have you bopping your head in no time, as will most of his other songs.
“Odyssey” – CHYL (Speed House)
CHYL is an upcoming artist known for her speed house style. Recently doing a collaboration with Juelz, she continues to define her own genre as she gathers more and more of a following. “Odyssey” is another banger.
“Worth The Wait” – Marten Horger (House)
Marten Horger doesn’t need much of an introduction. In his debut year of 2023, he entered into the DJMag top 100 DJs. It’s almost a guarantee that he is going to a festival near you within the next year. Think of any remote electronic artist you know, he’s most likely done a project or feature with them. Horgers’ new song, “Worth The Wait,” is exactly what it sounds like.
