So, this is it y’all, the last Blog post for West Coast is the Best Coast! Last Thursday was the final day of Winter quarter and the final WC/BC episode, ever. There is so much that I would like to say, but I’m never very good with words. Though I know I definitely want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who listened and supported my show during it’s time on SCAD Atlanta Radio. Friends, family, bands, fellow DJ’s, I appreciate all the minutes of your life you took to listen to my show. I can only hope you enjoyed it and discovered a new band(s). For the whole purpose of this show was to share the music of some very talented musicians that come from the state that I call home. I hope I did a good job at trying to accomplish that… As for the playlist, it was extra special because I had an extra two hours on air, so I tried to play all of “the best of” songs and bands I had ever played on WC/BC. Also, I played a block of brand new songs from some of my favorite Cali bands. More importantly, I got to world premiere two songs by the band Wires from their upcoming EP “Lithopedion”; AND interview vocalist/bassist Maxx Diaz over the telephone. It was all so exciting and fun the entire four hours I was on air. I’m very sad to have to let this show go, but I will be hosting a new show next quarter. So stay tuned for that!
